Merry Xmas – 2020 update

As 2020 draws quickly to a close I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for your support over this crazy year.

It’s been a tough one for all of us and I’m sure there will still be challenges ahead so make sure you take some time to relax and rejuvenate.

For me and my new business it’s also been difficult but I’ve been thrilled to have had a number of successes including;

• Now offering Telehealth consults enabling people to access support remotely. Including complimentary telehealth consults through lockdown.
• Started a group program for people living with persistent pain. Co-facilitated with a local psychologist. The only such private program locally seeing physiotherapist and psychologist working together to support people in pain.
• Supported a number of causes important to me including;
o Providing complimentary services to volunteers that assisted with the local Bushfires
o Continued my volunteer work as a local pain educator with ‘Pain revolution’ (painrevolution.org), highlighted by being part of the education team on this year’s rural outreach tour, that travelled through regional Victoria from Geelong to Wangaratta (some by bike) providing free community pain education events along the way.
o Movember – supporting Mens Health
o ‘Freds big run’- supporting the Fred Hollows Foundation
o ‘PAwgust’- supporting Guide dogs
o Albury Wodonga Big Splash – supporting head Space
o Barham High School (my home town) community Triathlon- supporting Lifeline
o Albury Wodonga City 2 City

I am passionate about what I do and love that I get to help and support people, it was great to be part of success stories for some who had been in pain for many years, and is always extremely rewarding for me to see people re-engaging with the activities that they love and are meaningful to them.

Professionally, I’ve embarked on some post-grad study at Deakin Uni that I hope will further enhance my treatments particularly around my focus on pain. I’ve also been pleased to attend and present at a number of professional development events through the year. I love learning and enjoy staying up to date with the latest research and sharing that knowledge with the people I work with.

I sincerely thank you for all your support over this year. As a small business I survive on ‘word of mouth’ and it is your kindness that has made a difference and enabled me to keep doing what I love.

While I’ll be closed for the last 2 weeks of December I won’t be too far away so please don’t hesitate to email, text or call me if you have any issues.

The clinic will be re-open for appointments from the 4th January.

Cheers Dan
